Fresh water tank location?

Plan to buy a 25 ft. AS 2004-2008 and remove the couch in the front. Friend tells me the fresh water tank is stored in the trailer under the couch? True?

I'm not sure about that...a friend of ours has an 06 25' rear bed, front couch, and I think the fresh water intake is on the curb side behind the axles in the rear quarter...which would mean the fresh water tank is probably under the bed... I may be wrong about that but I can't imagine the fresh water tank being located that far from the intake....a newer 25' rear bed owner needs to chime in. In our 19' Bambi the fresh water tank is under the street side dinette seat (in the front)...and the intake is on the forward street side...

And welcome to the forums!

Hi, not true. All of the tanks are mounted under the trailer near the center. I remodeled my trailer's living room and had to use shorter bolts so I wouldn't hit my gray tank. I relocated my Gaucho. Read my blog, "2005 Safari remodel" on this forum.

On my 25', rear bed, the water tank is right between the wheels. Nothing under the front sofa except the drawer. The power converter and battery compartments are under the little shelf behind the sofa.

The last year that Airstream installed a fresh water tank under the front window area, was 1969.

actually fresh tank location in neWr units depends on length.

some of the tiny streams produced in the last 10 years have front tanks...

this isn't the case 4 the op target, but is true for some single axle or tiny units.
________

the op needs to explore the owners manuals that are online,

and crawl under a few units and get familiar with this stuff....

the drain locations can be followed UP stream to the tanks.

there are 100s of threads here with pix of interior repairs and sofa extractions...
________

what is under many of the front sofas in the last decade is the converter/charger/12v feu'z and wiring bits.

the classics often have 2 battery boxes under d'sofa as well.

this stuff is easier to deal with than water boxes, but needs to be considered.

cheers

I have a 2011 Bambi Sport 16. The fresh water tank (23 gal) is located on the street side forward, almost directly under the curved front window. That noisy little pump is down there too, that's the one you can hear from about 100 yards away anytime you engage a water faucet or shower.
