Unhappy Zip-Dee Price Increase

Hi Forum folks!

This is a public service announcement......................

I just received a dealer letter from Zip-Dee announcing a significant price increase on their products due in large part to higher raw materials costs for stainless, aluminum & acrylic fabric -and- much higher transportation costs to get these raw materials to the factory. Effective Aug. 1, 2006, all product categories will have price increases of an 'anticipated' 15-18%. They might be higher by the time the new price lists are finished!!

If you are fence sitting thinking about that new awning, now might be the time to get your orders in!!

I don't see anyone out on the web advertising Zip Dee for sale. Am I just having a bad search day, or do you need to actually go to a dealer?

thanks, Roger

Come to think of it, I haven't seen a site selling Zip Dee ether. The closest dealer to me, hasn't replied to my emails to purchase.

Roger, if you need the name of a local (Denver Area) dealer Rich Rath, one of our WBCCI-DenCO Unit members is one. He has installed and serviced them here for many years...

How about Lewster?

I think he posted before that he sold Zip Dee. You might want to PM him. I don't have any connection, just remembering earlier posts.

It's True.......it's True

I don't advertise the fact that I am a dealer for many RV products (including Zip-Dee) and that I offer a 'Forum Courtesy Discount' to members here. I won't discuss any details on the forum, but I will by PM, e-mail to lew@gorge.net or phone 239-601-8650 or 541-490-6357.

Hey Over59 ,

Are you saying that you got your zipdee from Andy at inland rv and at a 10% discount? I take it that he gave you a fair price ,yes? I don't know what "you know who means"

That Zip Dee 10 percent discount has been a standing offer on our web site, for over 4 years.

Calling in a serial number of your coach, assures the correct size.

Awnings don't easily shrink or stretch, if you ordered the wrong size, because you had the wrong year or length.

Andy

Here is how it worked for me.
I call Andy and give him my information (trailer and credit card).
Some time passes (Christmas holiday season in my case).
The phone rings and it's a guy in an 18 wheeler looking for my house.
I give the guy a check ($135 for shipping) and I get a new awning.
I install it.
We love it!
