Hi Guys, Long time vintage camper owner but just bought
my first AS, a 1977 25' Tradewinds. I like the look of the
all polished up rigs but feel I don't have the time it will
take to do or maintain from what I read, problem is the
clearcoat appears to be off on about half the camper
and in bad need of cleaning but is very dull. Is there
a solution that would allow me to have a "decent" looking
camper with a coulpe days work?? I just don't have
the 200+ hours everybody says it will take? I realize
I won't have that great finish but is there another way??
Thanks
Hi...Just strip it and then just regular washings.

Welcome to the forums and I applaud your Airstream choice ! There are a few of us with 1977 Tradewinds. If you need any access to owner's or service manuals for your AS, let me know.

Welcome to the Forums, vicron. It will be a big decision whether to live with the finish you have, or commit to stripping and polishing your rig. Lots of folks have shared their experience here - take some time and get comfortable with our search function; you'll find much targeted assistance there.
