'74 Land Yacht

i have had this beauty for about 10 years. only thing is she aint to beautiful. the exterior is really dull. i have read that the 74 was the last year clear coat was used from the factory. i'm guessing the clear coat is my real problem. so how do i get the clear coat off and polish this girl up? i really love this home away from home. so i would like to be a little more proud of her. please help.
