Hello. I have a concern about my Truma system in a 2021 basecamp 16x.
Using the boost feature to heat the water seems to cause excessive heat in the cabin. To the point I thought I had turned the heater on. Heater fans not blowing though.
Heater setting off. Water heat set to boost. Same result on LP or Electric.
I’m wondering if there is anything to be concerned about, or if this is simply a “feature” of the tankless water heating system.
In my ‘21 Classic 33, when we hit boost and the water goes from 125 to 165 degrees, if you’re sitting at the dinette where the water heater is - it feels like a car seat heater on your butt. However, the trailer does not heat up.
Our alde system in the classic may work differently than what is in your Basecamp but when we use our shower boost function, it has a valve or something that closes which prevents the water heater from heating the cabin. Sounds like yours may need to be looked at? There may be a failure in something that is easy to replace.
