Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do! [sorry Aero ... artistic license] The longest 1960 Airstream was the 30' SOTR. Twenty years later Airstream still wasn't making a 34.
If they're calling this an Airstream who the heck knows what they're measuring. Might have been one of the aluminum vintage kin?
Is it possible that this might be one of the coaches custom built for one of the railroads as work crew headquarters. It seems to me that these were discussed in a thread about two years ago.

I called the seller and talked to him about it. He said it's got a "logo" that says "Railway System" on it, and the guy he bought it from said that it was used for railroad workers. Apparently it was rolled at some point in time, and the seller was thinking of restoring it but decided it's more of a project than he wants. Husband Will and I are going to check it out tomorrow... it might be interesting!
