Ice rink for Airsteam

Greetings - So the cold got to my AS before I could. We keep the 2014 RB Flying Cloud in the NC mountains and when we arrived we found freeze damage. We replaced the water pump from a cracked housing, filter under sink and thought we had everything done. The 90's elbows behind the on/off fixture in shower were both cracked. So , Im guessing the job is to remove the wall in bedroom to access the pipes which involves Removing TV, receptacles, etc.
Anything we need to know before we start ? Wait for professional?
Help!

Did you check the water heater? Sounds like you have a ton of full in store. You might want to use air to find leaks instead of water. At least till you get most of them fixed. A trailer of that vintage should have PEX tubing but I best the fittings are plastic.

Hi

The big deal usually is the hot water heater. They tend to split in a "full freeze". The anti-backflow valve on the city water seems to split along with the similar part in the black tank flush (if you have one). The outdoor shower faucet needs to be looked at along with the flush valve on the toilet. If the water or waste tanks were full at the time (unlikely ....) they can indeed crack as well.

Lots of fun !!!

Toilet valves tend to be a likely victim since they are a low point but if the system was full it is probably no more likely than anything else. Also if you have a squirter on the sink that is most likely toast. Always a good idea anytime you unhook the water to open all valves and let the pressure out and some air in. A little bit of air in the lines can sometimes save you. There is an external drain plug on the water heater for when it thaw or the next time you winterize after getting things fixed. There should be low point drains as well. I usually just blow the lines out with an air compressor with a fitting that connects it to your trailer water inlet.
