Maxxis M8008

I Ordered my new Maxxis M8008 10 ply from Simpletire.com a week ago. Today, I went to the new Lindale Tire Store to have the new tires installed. Ordering tires from Simple Tire was flawless. Lindale Tire in Lindale, TX was quick and very professional.
I wanted to thank the Airstream Forum members for great advice about tires.
Thanks

I'm happy with mine, but I just told my tire guy to order them and he had them that afternoon. Must be a warehouse near Minneapolis that stocks them.

Actually Mark, regardless of where you buy, online or bricks & mortar, they all get the rubber from area warehouses.

Maxxis M8008

FYI, another great place to buy the Maxxis tires is realdealtires.com. I ordered a set from them and had them in hand two business days later. Very competitive prices, free shipping on the Maxxis (at least last week!), and excellent communication and service.

Would these be an option for a 2014 30' Airstream?

Yes & no, depending on your trailer weight. These are 10 ply E rated tires that most likely are a good match for your 30' AS but like said check the weight.

Ok. They are rated at 2830 pounds each, and I use 4. So that's over 11,000 pounds. I believe max weight on mine is 8800. Am I looking at this right?

FCStreamer, my AS max load is 8300 lbs.
Yes, 2830 lbs., but at 80 psi. per tire.
My scale weigh is 7300 lbs.
I don't need 80 psi for my AS.
Maxxis has a load to psi chart on their website.
8 ply were on my AS. But, now i can run at a lower psi and with less tire stress during Summer months.

I also have a 2014 and the max is 8800 lbs. FCStreamer likely has the same.

Yes, I think it is 8800. 8300 is the max I can tow. Never paid too much attention to that number since I am nowhere near that, but that is the max.

Ok, great to know these are an option! Still have a year before I even start thinking of changing mine.

We loved our 8008s for several thousand miles. Glad you can still get them. No longer available to my local dealer(s), but that's OK. We've gone to 16-inch/LTX wheels and tires.

My AS weights approximately 7300lbs (gross). Last summer I towed over 10 k miles with my new Maxxis in all temps from 60' to 110' degrees in Vegas without a problem at 75lbs psi inflation.
