Axle for 1968 Globetrotter

My 1968 Globetrotter needs a new axle. It is a Dexter torsion axle but I not sure which one. I have spoke with Dexter and they are helpful, but will not recommend model of torsion axle. Can anyone tell me the exact axle, and everything I will need, mounting kit? lift kit? I will get the shocks. I'm not sure what years used the same axles on that size, 20 foot, single axle. Any information would be great or a scouce to find out.

If it is an original axle it is NOT a Dexter axle it is a Henschen axle. Henchen is no longer in business. This is why Dexter will not tell you what to order as they do not know. Dexter has no idea based on year make and model.

To get a Dexter axle you will need a lots of data and some of that data has to be very accurate. https://www.dexteraxle.com/Products/Torsion-Axles Once you place an order the money is non-refundable. Being accurate on the order is necessary.

Many people will increase the weight rating for the new axle from the original one. Knowing the max load of your trailer now is necessary to do this. Going too light or going too heavy are both issues.
