If you want to have the refrigerator operating on the road, you'd want either the original-type replacement (a 2-way propane/electric fridge like a Dometic or Norcold) or if you want to upgrade the
12v system some, especially if you're doing solar, a
12v Danfoss-compressor fridge like a Dometic Tundra, Novakool, Vitrifrigo, etc.
Propane fridges with the old-style venting like my trailer has (and I assume yours does) work pretty well. There are a few models available that work just like the old-school ones, requiring no
12v power at all. Most current propane/electric fridges need 12v DC to run the control board. The venting I'm talking about is an intake in the floor and an exhaust vent on the roof.
