Tomorrow we leave for Gulf Shores, Alabama after having spent three weeks in three different Louisiana State Parks and one City campground. We have nothing but great things to say about these four facilities. Each offered a good combination of quality facilities, good locations and very reasonable prices. The people we meet in Louisiana are among the friendliest we've met anywhere.

We just returned home from Gulf State Park. Had a great time. If you are a bike rider a group meets on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday around 11 am at the campstore for a ride for either lunch or ice cream. On Saturdays it is a bike ride and a picnic. There is a Christmas concert planned for this Sunday at the campground. We had a site on the lake. Enjoyed our time there. Gulf Shores has a rec center with a indoor pool that charges a small fee anyone can use. It is off Clubhouse Road as you come into Gulf Shores.

We love Chicot and Palmetto Island too.
