Real nice state park. Most of the trial system was closed due to flooding but there was still plenty to walk/bike if you wanted to.
The park property is part of the Texas Missions churches which are historical ( 1700s era ) churches in Texas that were in place in may cases before the declaration of independence was signed. In this case, as well. I believe the main church is 1740s.
Also there are nearby historical sites which you can walk to.
The park has all pull through for W/E/S and didn't have any issues except for the rain on Friday and part of SAT.
Also, be warned ( I wish we were! ) the county fairgrounds is walking distance from the park itself and unfortunately for us, there was a Tejano music concert Saturday night until almost midnight. Very annoyed that they didn't cut that nonsense out by 10pm. Needless to say we didnt get much sleep last night. Ugh!
The park itself is very nice. But be-ware of annoying music/noise from the fairgrounds.
