You can try Bellaire Woods Campground in Savannah . The address is 805 Fort Argly road, Hwy 204 Savannah, Ga.
Phone numeber is 800-851-0717. I stayed their last fall and it was nice place to stay. They have cable tv with full hook up. There
are other places and you can check Woodall's campgroung directory.

Hope you and John have a great trip. We will be interested in finding out exactly where you stayed on this trip as we will be heading north in the fall.

My wife and I stopped in Savannah around New Years on our way down to St. Augustine. We liked the campground that we stayed at so much that we stopped again on our way back up.
Technically, the campground is on Tybee Island wich is a good 30 minutes east of Savannah. It's wooded and has cable Actually, the cable wasn't advertised, but I saw it next to the water spigot, plugged it in and it worked.
The campground was cleen, quiet, and within walking distance of a public beach and a pretty lighthouse. Also, if you go, ask about "The Crab Shack." Great seafood.
I highly recomend it. http://www.tybeeisland.com/riversend/

I checked the link and it works fine from here. I did find a link to The Crab Shack: http://www.thecrabshack.com/ Maybe it will help.

My wife and I spent the winter as campground hosts at Skidaway Island State Park in Savannah.
It's not a fancy park, and it's a bit old, but it's only a twenty minute drive from downtown Savannah - and the comfort stations are clean.
The park has 88 sites, all with cable, water and electric; all the sites are pull-thru. There's two nature trails in the park, yet it's also five minutes away from shopping.

Savannah GA campground
John and I stayed at Skidaway Island camprgound-water, electric, cable, quiet, wooded, all pull-thru's, clean showers and washer and dryer. We will definitely be back. Recommend highly. Only 20 minutes from downtown Savannah.

Skidaway Island
Is there any new information on the campground at Skidaway Island?? We'll be staying there on our way from NC to FL... leaving on the 27th after Christmas. Plan to stay 3 nights... ??
Any suggestions or input would be great! The other posts are from a while back.
Thanks in advance...
