Closing Deal on Streamline Countess

Hi Y'all!

I posted in the New Members Inro forum, but wanted to introduce myself here as well. I'm trying to close the deal on a '64 - '67ish Streamline Countess. This will be my first travel trailer.

My top question at the moment is the year of manufacture. It's complicated, but the current owner has no title to see what year the trailer was made. Through some research I think that I've narrowed it down to between '64 & '67. I don't think that it's earlier than '64 because it was made in Thorntown, Ind. It has the round style tail lights which seem to have stopped around '68. So I'm thinking sometime in that era, but I haven't been able to narrow it down any further.

Any suggestions for where I might be able to find that out? I'm still waiting for administrators of the Streamline Travel Trailer Registry Yahoo group to approve my membership, and I'll probably be asking in other vintage RV forums shortly.

Here are a few pics that I'd posted in my new member introduction post. This is as she sits. I hope to bring her home soon! I'll try to post a few more later.

I'm glad to have found these forums and look forward to learning a lot from you about this new (to me) trailer!

Thanks!
-pp

Hi, we meet again. This is a good category to post your pictures. I wonder if there are any other Streamline trailer owners out there in these forums?

I'll bet that trailer has more interior room than a similar length Airstream.

Thanks avionstream! He got back to me and confirmed that the 'C' in my serial number represents the 1964 model year. I finally know how old she is! Now to get the title.

Ive worked on Airstreams, Silver Streaks and been around these Streamlines. They are by far better built trailers than Airstreams. Their frames are superior along with interior cabinetry. Have fun!
