1952 flying cloud, what are these for?

Greetings

I have two brackets on the front of the AS. One was broken, the other bent.
What are these for? Is there a better or more current way of achieving the same purpose?
Thank you for your support

I think that is the foundation base for your propane tank(s).

If you are talking about the small hinges at the back , they may have been an attempt to tie the frame to the front skin. This is necessary for structural integrity. See this thread for more info on how it was done in the sixties.
It's commonly referred to as the front hold down plate so you can search the forum too, I'm sure there are other threads.

Thank you both

I am sorry I was not clear, yes that is the foundation for the propane tanks.
However I was referring , my bad, to the two clips behind the base.
I'll check out the link
