Which switch is which or what
OK. I'm sure this is an easy question for someone...
On the interior left of the door in my 74 Sovereign, there are two switches. One of them works the exterior door light (which needs to be rewired) and the other one?????? I have tried flipping it but nothing happens. Something else to be rewired??
Thanks!!

The second switch may be for the other exterior light???
The one I mean is in front of the curbside window and round. There may be a switch for it nearer the light itself, sometimes behind the drapes.

In my '75 one of the switches is for the light over the sink which is a three way; one position is on, one is off ,and one allows it to be controlled by the wall switch. Maybe that will help.

In my 75 Overlander the second switch works the light over the kitchen. You need to play with the switches in multiple positions until you get it the way you like.

yes, and it took me a while to figure this out, because it isn't really a "3-way" switch. a real 3-way switch will operate a fixture from either switch, and this doesn't; it turns the power on and off to the switch on the light fixture over the sink, but not to the fixture itself. If the switch on the fixture over the sink is in the "on" position, then the switch by the door will turn the light on and off. If the switch on the light is in the "off" position, the swtich by the door appears to do nothing.

What Chuck described is pretty much how the switch works in my 31' Excella. I have 2 switches on the right hand wall as you open the door. The upper switch is a 2 way on mine that turns on the lights over the kitchen sink (if they are turned on there). This makes it easy when entering at night. The lower switch operates my outside over the door entrance light. I also have another switch that is on the curbside wall just before you get to the curved panels that controls the flood light on the outside of the trailer. Hope this helps you out.
