Want To Install 3 Stage Charger 1999 Safari

I just purchased this Safari and it has the Magnetek 900 installed. It appears that this is a single stage charger. I would like to replace it with a 3 stage "smart" charger like the Iota that was in my Jayco. I am just curious as to what you might recommend both brand and size wise. Right now the coach only as a single 27 battery. FYI, I will likely upgrade to 2 6v Trojans again as I was running in the Jayco. I also might install a Trimetric like I had in the SOB, any recommendations on a mounting location (giving consideration to running wires and such and not wanting to tear apart the interior).

You should be able to simply remove the old, and install the new, in the same location. I've had good luck with the Intellipower converters, though you can contact Randy at Best Converters (68overlander). He can give you a little more insight. A 45 amp converter should be more than enough.

Terry, thanks. In the meantime, should I be turning the current (no pun intended) converter on and off? I ask as I see there is a switch by the door.
