Hi!

After buying a 92 Excella this last spring, winter is going to be longer than ever this year. My wife, Cyn and I are new to Airstreaming, but are thouroughly hooked. We thought no use starting small and working up, we found a clean 34 footer and with a little elbow grease have ended up with a pretty nice unit. So far, we've taken a couple of short weekend jaunts, and a 10 day trip to Glacier Park last summer. Next year, we're doing Nova Scotia at the end of may, and later in the summer we are going to Banff, and then work our way southeast to colorado. We tow with a 06 Dodge 3500 diesel one ton dually, outfitted with a Jake brake and Banks power upgrades.

Havent joined WBCCI yet, but are looking for a chapter close to us.

Everyone we have met in silver yet has been great so far, and we're looking forward to meeting some of you in coming adventures.

Glad to be on board! Fred and Cyn Schmidt - Chippewa Falls WI

Congrats & welcome aboard! Armchair Airstreaming isn't nearly as much fun but those sound like some fine trips you have planned. Did you christen her with a Leinie across the bow?

Fred & Cyn. Welcome. A few others that may chime in from Wisconsin. We moved from a '93 29 ft to the 34. Really liked the 93 and starting to enjoy the space of the 34. Hope to meet you someday. Let me know if I can answer any questions on your 34 for you.

Welcome Fred & Cyn,
My wife and I make the colder months a little shorter by dry camping during the winter months. I realize it's probably a little colder in Wisconsin than southwest Missouri, but we have camped at 5 below with no problems. We run through a little propane, but electric heaters and a catalytic heater help considerably. Anyway, sounds like you have some great trips on the horizon. We love Wisconsin and Michigan in July-August, so may cross paths some day. If you don't find a local WBCCI chapter to join, there's always the "member at large" option. Again, glad you're airstreaming and part of the forum.

Fred-

Welcome to the forums! You couldn't meet a better bunch of folks. Joining WBCCI has been great for us. We have made so many friends through our unit and other units at the Regional Rally. Glad to have you aboard!

Welcome to the forums from down South. Wisconsin offers some fine winter camping at the state parks. We find that we can always get the best sites in winter even at the busy parks. Right now we are planning our New Years trip.

Welcome from the frozen tundra next-door, Duluth, MN. Understand your frustration about winter! We just put our unit into storage for the winter. Bummer! We sure are looking forward to spring!
