Smile Just saying Hello

Found this forum reading rv.net forum. We are shopping for used travel trailer and come across Airstreams now and again, so thought we would find out a bit more about them. Seems like an informative forum. Thanks, Scot

Welcome to the world of Airstreams and their owners. We do love our Airstreams and Argosys, and the people on this Forum are happy to help others learn why we love them. Many of us have 25 to 35 year old trailers that we are using regularly and feel they have another 50 years left in them. It is doubtful you will find too many other brands of that age still camping. I do have a 57 Santa Fe that I think will be around for 50 more years, but it doesn't have a bathroom. I'm too old to camp without my own bathroom, so the Santa Fe is living with a couple in their 40's who have a nice barn for it. Except for the few exceptions made in the 40's and 50's, you probably won't see old trailers of any other brand on the road in the numbers that Airstream has. If you find an Airstream you just can't live without, someone here will be able to tell you what to check for and how to fix it if it needs fixing. Looking for the perfect trailer is half the fun. Looking for the second and third perfect Airstream is even more fun.
