Hello from a New owner of a 2009 Sport!

Hello to All! My husband (JazzDad) and I are excited (well, I am!) new owners of a gently used Sport! We really liked Airstreams when visiting the RV show in Houston last year and have been looking at them (and other trailers) ever since. We recently found a little used Airstream about 50 miles from us and went ahead and pulled the trigger! Yes, we knew about the filiform corrosion, the cracked skylight, etc. airstream owners deal with, but it seems every kind of trailer out there has problems and these seemed to be better built, nonetheless. So, when we reseal this baby we are heading out! Hubby is going to do it himself so we have scaffolding on order. We are happy to be members of this forum and are grateful for all the knowledge and help we have had so far by just lurking! So thanks! Please wish us luck!!

Terri

Terri,
There are lots of 'Streamers in Texas, as you probably know. You'll meet many new friends just by pulling in to a camping area. Go visit. Share stories. AND post pictures of JazzDad on the scaffold.

Hey there, Air.

Welcome to the forum. If your husband is up on the scaffolding and you get lonely, just give me a call.

Terri Hi and welcome! If you love road trippin then this is the trailer for you. The forums are great for all questions Airstream. There is a host of info here good bad and otherwise. Take it all with a grain of salt. I see your husband jumped right into the dreaded "axle" debate. This guy doesnt mess around!!
Anyway welcome and good luck to you!
p.s. I bought a lot of my tools on Craigslist including some awsome gently used scaffolding ladders for cheap.
