My name is Suzanne and my husband's Bob. This is our second Airstream. Our first was a '72 27-foot
Sovereign. We bought it in 1986 in NJ and left for Florida in 1987. We full timed it for a couple of years and traveled around the country some. After settling down here, we sold it. Now we've purchased a much used '70 Ambassador to use as a craft space. I design jewelry and Bob felt this was a cheaper option than buying/building a shed. A couple of windows are busted out and of course that means a wet interior.
Yesterday Bob visited a "trailer graveyard" and was able to purchase one window.
Progress! Because of leaks we ripped out the console with the table. I plan on posting pictures of this project and blog on the challenges and victories.I just want to thank all the wonderful members of this forum for their generosity; pictures & know-how. It's wonderful.
