Rubber over fiberglass

Does any experienced maintainer know if the textured fiberglass on our land yacht roof, would have adhesion issues if I put a rubber roof right on top of it?

Which part are you concerned will separate? The fiberglass from roof or rubber from fiberglass?
I would say if fiberglass in good shape, try the Ceramiflex.

Liquid Roof and Liquid Rubber both work well over fiberglass.

I'm not sure what draws me to believe that a heavy rubber over the whole thing. Will be a more solid long term fix? If the liquid works and takes a tenth the time maybe? Thanks

Mark.. Hey, I hope it works... but, I would make sure the fiberglass and substrate is solid... take and share pics!!!

If this works really good, we may all take an interest.

Sand the surface with 80 grit WELL, and then properly applied rubber cement would work IMO.

Do some research on Liquid EPDM and you'll find it will work well for many years. The big question is why you feel you need to put anything over your fiberglass roof?

Rubber over Fiberglass

I like "Ëlastomeric" rubberized paint on any RV roof. I've never had it peel. Available at Home Depot last time I needed it.
