Original hitch or custom?
Is this original? Id like to get something in place to be able to tow my 4 door wrangler.

Yeah, that doesn't look good. Too much tongue weight with some bouncing while towing would be my bet as to what caused the buckling. I'd check the rest of the underside and also all of the rear section of the shell to see if there was any follow on damage.
