well, i'm currently removing permanently the existing bathroom vents(moving the b-room &i have some circular patches). ive only gotten one out, but it seems like there is ALOT of putty holding them in (i used a plastic scraper) and just a few exterior rivets to drill out from the outside....i would guess after cleaning up the area, put the new one in, wire it up and then use LOTS of Trempro and olympic rivets to seal it up.

Looks great, nice job. Did you match the original rivet holes, if so how, or was the vent flange predrilled?

the flange was predrilled and the old ones were screwed on. I used new self drilling screws in new holes with sealing washers.
