Function of the radiator at feet end of passenger site is

Does anyone know what the function of the radiator at feet end of passenger site is?
Can I remove the radiator without consequences?

I have a heater working on petrol for the cabin behind the driver seat and think the heating of the driver and passenger and front windows will be possible via the vent outlets in the dashboard (I can choose heat or cold air?).

Kind regards,

Paul

My argosy has an aftermarket radiator/heater plumbed directly to the coolant system (mine is mounted in the rear by the door). Perhaps yours is something similar?

Looks like Paul has a standard (for 1977) unit in the footwell, just the photos are upside down.

Heater core, it can be removed and the hoses bypassed but you'll no longer get warm air out of the dash vents

Worse, you'll no longer have a functional windshield defroster if you remove it.

Also true

I suppose if OP lives in southern Arizona or California they may be OK without it
