The Maze, Canyonlands NP

Anyone interested in a trip to The Maze this coming spring or fall? The Maze is not suitable for trailers so this will be tent camping. Remember tent camping? My idea is to take my AS to an RV park in Hanksville Ut as a base camp and drive into the Maze and camp for a few days. My wife will stay at the RV park with my dogs.

Getting to The Maze requires a full day drive on dirt/ sand roads so 4x4 or at least high clearance is necessary. It is a spectacular and isolated area in Canyonlands NP. Dogs are not allowed since it is national park.

My son and I did some backpacking in Canyonlands NP. It was an awesome experience. We also hiked a bit into the Maze. It's a beautiful and unique environment. The quietness, absence of any man made sounds, is beyond description! Refreshes the sou!

By all means do it if you can. It is an awe-inspring adventure!
