New to the group

Hello! I am new here, although I have been lurking around for a few years, ha.

I purchased a 1975 Argosy 26' last week. Should be delivered next Monday. I know I am in for a long (and possibly costly) renovation, ha. Wanted to see if there were any good suggestion for "where to start" or a checklist of order to do things.

My plan right now:

Deliver her to our local camper mechanic to seal up a few leaks (I know there are leaks). Have him winterize, check out what works and what doesn't and giive me an estimate for axels, electric brakes, new tires and frame inspection from underneath (interior is intact). He will inspect the subfloor, which feels solid everywhere I could think to look/jump/poke around when I looked at the trailer, but he will take a look.

Store until spring until I have a layout and renovation plan in place. I will be gutting out the interior and selling - it looks like it is in really great shape.

I know new window and door seals will be first priority in the spring - trailer will be in covered storage until then.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Welcome to the group "hselinger". You will find a lot of helpful folks on the form.

Looks like you have yourself a good '75er and understand the road ahead. The end cap is galvanized steel, not fibreglass or aluminum which adds a challenge to a body mans task in fixing it up. The crease does add somewhat to it's characteristic past, though.

Good luck hselinger
