1972 Argosy tail lights - free to good home
I was finishing up some necessary pre-painting bodywork this weekend on our Argosy. My intention was to try to repair the plastic tail light bezel that goes across the back of the trailer... No joy, it disintegrated as I was drilling out the rivets. I guess 38 years and a lot of UV did a number on the plastic. Anyway, I covered the gaping holes with some .025 2024 aluminum and installed new tail light assemblies from West Marine (they don't look too bad, and they'll do until something better comes along). I'll post pix of the trailer after she's painted, to include the new tail lights.
Anyway, the stock lights are available for anyone who needs them. The lenses are great, the bases are solid, but the back up light sockets are shot. The tail/turn sockets worked fine, but I suggest replacing all of the sockets.
Soooooo... 1st come, 1st served, take 'em both. I'll even pay the shipping.

Bob, I don't need them, but karma to you. Just another reason why this forum is great - it's the people.

Hi Bob
If things fall through , I can most certainly use the tail lights. I am close to your home base here in Jersey. Dave

You're most welcome! Glad they arrived intact. I wish I could say the same about me... I've been on the road since early this morning (business trip) and FINALLY got into my hotel in Clarksville, TN. 4.5 hour layover at O'Hare (was supposed to be 1.5 hours) and 3 gate changes within 15 minutes of boarding... YIKES!
