Any suggestions on rugs that will fit the entry way steps?

Hi All,

I would like to put rugs on the entryway steps of our 2012 FC 25FB. Any suggestions on what will fit? We're leaving very soon on a long trip, so I don't have time to order stuff from Camping World and return it if it doesn't fit

WalMart has step rugs. "Universal fit" rugs are a couple of inches narrower than the steps and just get centered on the step. Underneath, the ends are attached with springs, so they will fit about any size step. The ones at WalMart are the same as found at most other RV parts places and cost about one-half what others charge. Due to sun and sand, ours last only one or two seasons; and we usually replace them annually.

If you are new to RV-ing, you'll find that WalMart is the 7-11/Circle-K for RV parts when travelling. They carry a pretty good selection of most parts that fail or fall off on the road, and their prices are better than most truck stops and RV parts stores. Plus, you can stock up on bottled water, toilet paper, groceries, worms, bicycle pumps and whatever else you forgot when leaving home. When we had our GYM blowout, we bought a two-ton floor jack at the next WalMart we passed.

I measured the spaces to be covered...went to Home Depot and Lowes. Their selection was "quick and dirty"...good selection, nice quality and I like what I got.

I don't have our AS nearby; are the steps radius or squared off? Seems like I saw Universal fit in both styles.

Not sure about your Airstream model, but our Bambi step has rounded corners. However, the universal fit step rugs only cover the middle part. They wrap around the center section; so the sides (left and right ends) of the step really don't matter, as they won't be covered by the rug. Hard to describe, but it's obvious when you see the rug in your hand.

Thanks for the replies. Our local RV store had a 22" radius cut rug in stock. Here is a link to it at Camping World Outrigger Radius RV Step Rugs. It fits perfectly!

The company also has another 22" Radius cut rug that has carpet wrapped all the way around. Here is the Presto-Fit RV Rugs site that shows both of them.
