UK Tour Company Recommendations?

Hi all - We are thinking of taking a guided tour of the UK next Spring.

Looking for recommendations for reliable and enjoyable guided tour companies from folks with recent experience?

Ideally, we are looking for a week, or possibly two weeks, inclusive sightseeing tour of popular options in England (or Scotland and Wales). Something along the lines of a few days in London, then the West Country / Stonehenge, Bath, the Cotswolds, perhaps continuing up to York or Edinburgh? Time frame would be late May / early June 2023.

We prefer to fly in and out of Heathrow, as I have a bunch of Delta Miles to use. Weíd probably add a few days independent travel at the end, to do some local travel in a rental car/B&Bís.

I lived in England for five years on an assignment with IBM in the 90ís, but it has been a few years since and Iím sure things have changed a bit.

Appreciate any input or suggestions.

Narrowing the services desired might help improve responses. Your open ended question is similar to, "I haven't chosen my RV yet and I need to know which TV I need to order."

Are you looking for canned city bus tours, a specialized activity-focused tour like museums, activity-focused like castle walks or culinary, or cycling, by car or train, etc., and/or one firm covering all the destinations or something else like individualized/small group tours of homes at each location, etc.? You can have separate tours at each city, line up different guides each day, or line up a company that handles everything from lodging to meals, escorts to cultural sites. The options are mind-boggling broad.

Personally, a custom structured multi-day, multi-city tour with Europamundo ( was an amazing provider who covered all aspects of our last trip. My siblings swear by Trafalgar ( for a one and done provider of canned tours.

I've heard you can't go wrong with this trip: Of course, the pandemic may have affected each firm differently.
