I, too, have gone to the "50-60's flat top with the #1 on the sides. As for the insect problem, I use Absorbine jr. I put several DABS on my ball cap, and several elsewhere; NO not there. Learned that trick from a campground host/farmer.

So I tried using Brylcreem, "A little dab will do you." Well this also attracted flying insects. So now I use nothing, but my hair flies around and looks messy and I don't like messy.

Now, due to "Basil Cell Carcinoma," I have become a hat person. So my question for you is, what can a guy use to hold his hair, neatly in place, without attracting flying insects? Maybe this question is too late because I have become a hat person to shade my face.
Oh! Boy. What a problem to have - and I mean the carcinoma. Keep up the good work on that business.

When the day comes, if ever, I'll loan any who ask my barbershop instructions for the "1-1/2 Special". That would mean a 1-1/2 shoe for the part above the ears where some hair remains - for the rest - take 'er down to skin. Lots of hats help in so many ways.

Cedar lined cigar box?

No, actually I never get outside without a wide brimmed hat, unless it's cold enough to need my ears covered too.

Even those of us in areas w/o freezes need a bit of time when we can do longer-term projects :-).

Acrylic Nails

Acrylic Nails are great for scraping off small areas of filoform. You'll want "French Nails" for a natural look.

Now Paula! Don't encourage them...it's winter...they're bored....and they're wearing flannel.

Just a little something for those of use starting to thin (hair that is, not body).

When you start going thin in the front, It means you're a great thinker. When you start to thin in the back, it means you're a great lover. But when the 2 meet, well you think you're a great lover.

insects don;t like garlick, so the easy thing to do is mix garlick paste with hair wax and you problem is over.

Won't that also make your hair grow back?

Sikaflex will work wonders keeping your hair in place, and if you wear a hat in a windy environment it'll also help keep your hat on. I believe you can still buy it in bulk at the Airstream factory in silver; I'm not sure if it comes in brown or black.
