77 P30 parking brake adjistment

How do i adjust the parking brake? The parking brake on my 77 Argosy 28 doesn't hold. I've tightened the cable and handle as much as possible. Am not sure how to adjust the shoes. The manual talks about an access hole, don't see one of those. Do I have to disassemble the parking brake drum on the end of the tranny to adjust the shoes? The rig only has 55k miles, can't imagine the shoes are worn out. The rig doesn't leak, but suppose its possible for shoes to be soaked w trans fluid. Any insight aporeciated.

I believe there were a couple different designs on the parking brake cable. On my '82 there are a couple different spots on the linkage near the side of the tranny where you can make adjustment. My drum also doesnt have an access hole to adjust a star wheel. If you could post a picture of the cable linkage near the tranny it might help.

If the drum is the same as p30 1998 you have to look at drum above the drive shaft, mine had the two access points the one at the bottom not used, good light and maybe a mirror will help.
It works the same as a brake shoe on a wheel, star wheel to turn between the shoes to adjust.
