We put two 6 volt AGM batteries in our 2022 GT upon delivery. About 220 amp hours of usable energy available. Sounds good, right?

Being the person I am, I ran a boondocking test on the pad. Unplugged from everything on a fine Friday, in the winter, to see what would transpire.

Fridge came on and ran. Everything was fine. Heater came on and ran. Everything was fine. It got dark, and some lights came on. Then the fridge ran. Then the heater kicked on.

Then everything went dark.

The battery voltage went below 12.4 (12.2?) Volts and the battery disconnect kicked the batteries off line. The solenoid comes from the factory set to chassis, not coach. The solenoid is screwed to a bulkhead above the electrical supply panel. You need to remove the refrigerator to reset it from chassis to coach.

I now have 412 amp hours of SOK lifePo4 batteries under the bed. Problems solved. I'm adding another 206 amp hours of SOK to the system so I can go more than four days on a full charge.
