Brevoort Lake Campground
120 CAMPGROUND ROAD
MORAN MI 49760
Voted one of the top 100 family campgrounds for 2005 by reserve usa according to this website
http://www.camprrm.com/Michigan%20campgrounds.htm.
Just 20 miles west of St. Ignace on well paved, well marked roads. Be sure to stop at the National Forest station (8 miles east of St. Ignace) for extra maps and information. Some of information at the reserveusa website is incorrect--the name of the bay is Boedne not Boone, the Lake is Brevoort, just go by the details on the National Forest website. Lovely sites all very big and the hosts do a great job keeping it all clean. No hook ups, water is available, $5 for dump station use, clean restrooms.

This is boondocking with nearby flush toilets and water available. The roads are well paved, the sites are wide and many have lovely views of the lake. The facilities are clean and well maintained.Great fishing, boating, nice swimming at the campground and off of US 2 on the beach of Lake Michigan. There is a nice campstore with firewood, bait, and groceries, you can also rent boats here. The campground's boat launch is the best place to fish with kids, you will catch and release blue gill and yellow perch to name a few.We were able to let our labrador swim from our campsite, with a rope attached of course, and she loved it.We kept our kayak at the campsite too.No problems at all.The lake has a sandy/silt bottom. The western side Boedne Bay is very nice.Try to avoid sites near the dumpsters by the boat launch, fish odor is strong.Sample some of the local foods, meat pies or pasties, they are sold nearby.Lots of families stay here and quiet hour is enforced.
