You need a victron Orion dc-dc converter to regulate voltage per post #5....

Yup pull the trailer aux fuse in your fuse box. My 2500 gmc had a 30A fuse dedicated to the aux charging line on the 7-way. I pulled to so as not to mix and match voltages across lead acid...
