My 1958 Overlander

Hi All,

I've only been a member of this forum/site for a couple weeks and have already found it invaluable. The advice and help I've received in that short period of time has been amazing and I thank those who have taken the time to contact me or reply to my questions...you know who you are.

I've recently purchased a 1958 Overlander and over the next two years, I'm going to restore her from the trailer up. My goal is to have her completed by Spring 2015. My wife and I will leave Alaska for the lower 48 and Georgia. When I arrive in Georgia, I want to hand the keys to my Dad and say thanks for all he's done.

The restoration will be a long/slow process but I look forward to the journey and all the friends I will meet along the way.

Enjoy! I just got my 58 Overlander to the point where I can start to put the finishing touches in the interior. Curtains, upholstery for my dinette kinda thing. I did have the big remodeling work hired out, so I guess I cheated, but there is lots of little niggly things yet to do that we will be working on. I took it out for its inaugural test run and it was so very comfortable. Love the 26 ft size. I hope you will add more photos and share your progress with us!

I bought my 58 a few days after yours. It will also be a ground up redo. I am working 2 jobs so I can fix mine up.
