It continues to blow me away how many of these have survived and in such reasonable condition. We see so very few being towed down the highways, maybe one reason they have survived so long is that they got tucked away before they got used up. Thanks for sharing the pics of this one. It's always a treat to see how one of these units looked when it came from the factory.

Thanks, you are correct. I thought I saw this in the "portal" list and therefore recent.

Another 51 Flying Cloud for the registry
This is an old thread, but here's a new addition for the 51Flying Cloud list if anyone is still tracking the early Flying Clouds. We just acquired serial number 7105, a 15 panel version with flat front and back ends. The stove, vents, fridge, sink and closets (one with a water tank mounted vertically on the trailer side wall) are still there, but not much else inside. And it came out on the losing end of an encounter with a tree on the rear endcap, and with a pickup bumper on the front corner, so it's going to need some TLC.
Windows seem to be the biggest challenge facing us-- these are the early Hehr windows with rounded aluminum rims on the tiered windows. Several have broken away at the top screws and 1 tier segment is missing.
I can't seem to figure out how to access the photos on my ipad to make the attachment. (it's a first generation ipad, if anyone has hints for me.). Will have to wait for a real computer to get some pics included.

epperp,
I think this is where you want to "register" your FC:

He's got a pretty extensive list going. Looking forward to seeing photos.
