iPod over speakers

I installed this 2-channel RCA switch box in our Globetrotter that allows us to play either an iPod or the TV through the built-in speakers.

Bluetooth can be finicky with the Polk Audio unit.

We had many frustrating days on our new GT shakedown trip over the holidays. The Polk BT was FRUSTRATING (by not functioning) and we wanted to run the tv / video through GR speakers - but couldn’t

Hello Scott,

I removed the box that covers the disc player and Polk unit and disassembled it. Then i used a saw to cut out the slot for the switch. I used duct tape to secure the switch to the box (for now) and felt pads on the sides for stability. Here are pics of what you need to purchase. Let me know if you have any questions.

Oh yeah, You should have received the cable that the auxiliary unit plugs into. That is installed by simply drilling the hole (1.25 “ diameter)

Thanks so much for taking the time to detail your steps. Our Polk unit has been a Jekyll and Hyde ... hit-or-miss experience so far.

I've been using the Polk audio without issue. Both for streaming music from iPhones and Android. Also, the DVD audio works great as well.

We downloaded last month during our three week trip.

We apparently have “finicky” Polk unit with only an occasional BT connection. Unreliable, and inconsistent best describes our Polk BT experience.
