New Special Edition announcement this week?

According to a rumor on Facebook, Airstream will announce a new special edition 27FB Eddie Bauer / Pendleton style trailer at the Louisville RV show this week. Has anyone heard anything about this?

It is a Tommy Bahama edition. I'm trying to picture this in my brain but so far all I see is flowered barber style shirts.

There was a thread here for a bit talking about it and even a few factory tour picks got added and then Airstream asked it to be deleted maybe because they had not had their official release yet.

I saw a production model somewhere on the net but it has been pulled also Airstream has pulled it from there site.

Well, the cat's out of the bag now - Airstream posted a video announcement to their Facebook page. I can't link to it here, but another Airstream dealer also posted a video on Youtube:

There's not a whole lot of detail there, but there does appear to be one functional change from previous models: there's some kind of bar setup across from the galley, underneath the TV. This feature looks a lot like the special editions that Airstream Adventures has been making. That part could be interesting.

Not a fan so far of the prints shown in the pictures on the Airstream site, but signed up for updates anyhow, because I'd like to see one at my dealer - just to see what it looks like in person before really making up my mind.

The bar with the lighted top is kind of blingy and pretty cool in my opinion. The wild prints are kind of a turn off in small space and doubt some of the trinkets included like the TB chairs are very high quality. That being said, I'm sure it will sell well.

Nice job, but a bit too much "bling" and $$? I like the bar idea for storage, not necessarily for dedicated bar, but top and storage drawers are nice and an ice maker...good idea. Wife says we can do a lot of customization for a lot less $$, so guess I will have to enjoy my cocktails in our unit for now!

Feeling like the icemaker would just be another electricity hog, but I get that since the trailer has a bar, you're probably gonna want more ice for the drinks.

I have come across more and more folks with ice makers in their trailers. I have seen three here at Canopener. I see a trend.
