Since we are speculating......have any of you heard of a redesign for the 28'? We don't want to tow a 30', but want the separate gaucho and dining table. It is also so heavy and has so little storage! It is really a love/hate relationship! lol (just so you know, we are closer and closer to our AS dream...got the TV! and so sorry to miss Alumapalooza this year!)

This topic came up while I was at Terra Port for my annual Airstream physical in August. The group (albeit small group) consensus was Airstream management will not build any more 34 foot trailers. No limited production runs either. The demand for such a large trailer is small and the market has been moving towards smaller length units.

There wasn't much optimism for new Airstreams with slide outs either. Weight issues, but maybe that problem will be resolved. Just don't hold your breath waiting, you might turn blue!

Hi from AZ. . . the trend is definitely toward smaller & lighter. And towable by something smaller than a 3/4 ton pickup is also a factor (IMO) As long as the bean counters see new 19 foot AS selling for $60k, they're happy. I can only imagine how much a new 34 footer would be.. . . just sayin'. . . Craig
