2020 30'Classic

Question concerns the install of the propride on the 30' Classic. I just switched my propride from a 25'FC to the new Classic. Problem is the propride jacks can't be mounted 26" from the coupler center which makes the bars angle forward. There more like 28" back. The battery box won't open and the round bar in front it too close to the propane cover. People have suggested cutting the round bar off as it has no function and sliding the jack forward. Someone said they had a slight bend on the battery box lid from closing it over part of the jack. The bolt also looks like it could be shorter. Has anyone with the 30' Classic and propride hitch
made some modification to there's to get things lined up better?

Thanks

Here is what I did......... I slid the guid rails on the front of the jacks under the LP tank cover.

To accomplish this I raised the tank base using some washers under the 4 bolts that screw into the frame.... which in turn raised the tank cover enough so it sits on the jack guides... worked out really well and only cost $3 in washers.... this positions them about 26.5” back I believe. Pretty much perfect as the bars and tension is vertical.

I also added some washers on the vertical threaded bolt that secures the tank.....

Me three. Exactly what I did. Battery box still catches a bit, but I'm not in there every day.

The above method is what Sean recommends if you don’t want to trim the rails. I called [emoji4]

I added rubber trim along the base of the tank so that it doesn’t scratch against the rails as well…

I cut the round front bars on the jack and moved them closer then used tin snips to take a small wedge out of the battery box cover. Placed small strips of stick on weather stripping under the wedges of the battery box to keep water out.

Exactly what Gleverett said minus the weather stripping. The battery box isn't waterproof. Full of holes on the bottom so no need to add weatherproofing.
