Windows on 2017 Serenity
When opening the windows, you have three different positions available. I would like to keep mine open especially at night in the first position. The windows just won’t stay open for me in that position, and if I should get them opened in that position a gust of wind or opening the door might cause them to close. Is there any adjustment or trick anyone might have that could help. Thanks

I've not found a way to have them stay open in position one either and there's no adjustment that I can determine. I'll be interested to see if someone has come up with a clever solution to the problem.

We have a 2017 28' Serenity and do not have a problem keeping our windows open in the first position. I wonder what the difference is in the window adjustment track might be. I'd be interested in hearing if others are having this problem.

Here is the fix:
1. Open the window to position 2 or 3
2. Go outside and walk around to the open window
3. Remove your sock from your foot
4. Roll-up said sock
5. Place rolled-up sock against lower part of screen / window frame
6. Go back inside
7. Close window so that it is propped open by sock
8. Enjoy the fresh air!

Is that a clean sock or used?

Windows on 2017 Serenity
Aroma = ((time on foot) * (time since last shower)) /(amount of soap used expressed in grams)
As the above value asymptotes on its way towards infinity you may want to choose an alternative method.

I have had this problem occur also. Tighten the window arm hinge fasteners a bit and they will then stay open on the first position. They may loosen again with use but The fix will be the same.

My dealership said it’s an incorrect installation and the brackets need to be moved up a little. I’m taking my 2018 to the mothership in November for a few warranty items and that is one of them. It’s all of the windows on the passenger side. The one drivers side window in the bedroom works fine.

The best fix would be for Airstream to figure out a better to open/close them that can be adjusted from 0 to all the way with a crank. That would also allow you to open them with out a credit card and spray.

Thanks for info. Socks are definitely out. I ‘ll tighten hinge arm if that doesn’t work I’ll stick at popsicle stick in it.

You can open the latch to vertical and let the window rest on that.
Or have the side brackets raised at the factory.
It's a common issue, I dealt with it on our '19. Seems the technicians at the factory can't mount the brackets properly. Go figure.

The side brackets that the support arms rest in need to be adjusted (moved up). I was surprised to find that moving them even a quarter of an inch can be the difference between a window that flops closed and one that stays open in first position (it will also make getting them open easier).
