This well-maintained 2013 Airstream travel van has provided us with many fun road trips, most to visit family on both West and East coasts - all who have moved since. So convenient to arrive with your own bedroom, nothing to unpack. We had our bed, bath, two burner Propane gas stove top, microwave, refrig, and kitchen sink all packed neatly in this small RV/large travel van! We fit in everyone's driveway, and even an apartment parking lot.
We have spent many nights parked free in Walmart parking lots w/o plugging in, all while using the actual store for a place to get in 10,000 daily steps and browsing their many supplies needed for "camping".Â*
The Mercedes Chassis was manufactured in 2012, a year prior to Airstream completing its modification. This vehicle performs, drives, and rides like a Mercedes. It is easy to drive and park. The engine is broken in and we now are getting 18-21 MPG. Hubby has taken it for 45 min. drives every week or so to keep this reliable Mercedes vehicle in the best shape. All service receipts are on file. All tires were replaced at 46,000 miles. All our maintenance was completed at one local Mercedes dealer.
This floor plan has three captains chairs, allowing for a full wardrobe. Some of the many Airstream features are Corian counter tops and removable pedestal table top, 2 swivel captains chairs, center power lounge (makes bed), 2 19" flat screen TVs with DVD players, power awning, power slide-out step, porch light, exterior port for TV, solar panel, and rear-view night vision camera (wonderful!). The rear garage has been professionally and beautifully modified to hold our tandem bike - and it will hold yours too.
Additionally they've hung a full length mirror inside the wardrobe door and installed two directional reading lights in the back.
There have never been any pets or smoking in the RV.
Our hopes are that another couple can enjoy this mode of transportation as much as we have. Eight young grandchildren, in close proximity, prohibit that for us.
