1961 Airstream Tradewind 24 - Texas
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

1961 Airstream Tradewind 24' single axle travel trailer. We are only the third owner of this great mid-sized Airstream. It has been repainted on the interior aluminum walls and has four original bunk beds and the front dinette area can be converted to a queen sized bed (original front cushion covers are included, see pics). There are only two minor dents on the exterior that can easily be pulled out prior to polishing the exterior aluminum to a mirror finish. It is in covered storage when not in use and has no hail damage.
We have done all of the major renovations of: new Axis torsion axle, two new tires 8/2015, new subfloor and reclaimed and refinished 1905 oak hardwood floors throughout, new PEX plumbing, black tank and riser box, toilet, shower pan, new propane line, two 30lbs LP tanks, new Atwood 6-gallon water heater and new front benches made from reclaimed barn siding. All new Valtera grey and black waste lines and discharge valves. Comes with one 17 gal Thetford exterior grey tank to discharge at a dump station at a park.
We also have added an original
1956 drinking fountain. We have both of the original sinks and you can build a new front sink cabinet or install the sink in the counter I made from reclaimed wood (both the kitchen and rear bath sink are included in the sale, see pics). It has all the original light fixtures and the original gas lamp. Also has one exterior 110v electrical plug and has the original outdoor coach light that works.
12v lines are in the camper and half of the interior lights are
12v and others are 110v. Also has a 20 gal onboard fresh water tank in the street side cargo hold.
I'll also include an original 1972 large non working (may just need a $25 heating element) Dometic 3-way, gas, electric and
12 volt Refridgerator, a 5,000 but residential window AC unit and custom stand for the front window and a ceramic 110v heater and all the brass trim pieces for the sinks and original front dinette table (see pics).
It comes with 2" hitch ball top and bottom locks. The trailer has an original weight of 3130 lbs, dry and pulls very easily with a 1/2 ton truck or mid-sized SUV with a tow pkg.
