Overview Purchased in 2007 after being away from Airstream since I was a young man. Joined WBCCI and was able to get my Dad's original number 1200. He got #1200 in 1957. He bought his 1st. Airstream in 1955 and was a member of the WBCCI until his death in 1987. He owned 7 Airstreams. I restored my Trade Wind in 2008 and 2009.
I purchased this vintage because it was my favorite era of all the Airstreams my Dad owned.
Exterior

P&S polished (to original sheen) and clearcoated.
ZipDee awning.
Replaced corrigated fiberglass with smoke lexan in rockguard.
Aluminum wheels. Retained original steel wheels and painted to match Jeep.
New Henschen axle installed at Airstream, Jackson Center.
Painted names on front corner circa 1960's
Interior

Refinished woodwork.
new Zolatone (Kevin at P&S)
Plumbing, furnace, water heater, frig, AC replaced.
Tappan range restored.
Aluminum edging on all counters.
New upholstery, foam, and drapes.
Cork flooring with aluminum quarter round.
Restored to look like I remember my Dad's 1962.
