Leaking shower 19 F/C

Anyone experience a leaking shower door on your 19'? My leak seems to be at the bottom of the cleaver but possibly poorly designed door. If it is just me maybe it is missing something and I will have the dealer look at it. If every 19' out there leaks a little, I will try to not worry about it and let the warranty replace the wood if it rots within two years... Thanks in advance for the input.

I don't have a 19C but I did have a leaking shower door. At least I thought it was the door but when I looked closely I noticed that the leak was actually coming from where the floor met the threshold of the door. I had planned to deal with the little rubber seal on the door but there was no water dribbling down from the door. It was coming up from the bottom.

I took the door off and caulked around the entire frame and then caulked the seam all the way around the shower stall.

So far, so good. Hopefully this will take care of it. I did notice many gaps where the factory caulking was missing. It was rather shoddy work in my opinion.

We have an 06 19' CCD and the shower door did have a leak but a little caulking around the bottom of the door fixed it. Make sure to fix it or get it fixed. Most likely the damage won't show up until your warranty runs out.

Thank you! I looked at the caulking and it does has some gaps! I will get some caulking tomorrow and try a fresh caulk job. Thank you for the idea!

Found this thread a little late. Been having small continual leaking issues with our shower as well (19ft F/C). Had our local guys try and fix it with lots of caulking, and tried a few caulking attempts ourselves but still is an issue. It seems to be leaking from where corner where the door opens. Suggestions? Nearest dealer is 10 hours away and we live in it 6 months a year, so you know. Thanks!

After I caulked back in Aug still had the leak. Had to take it to the dealer who took the door off, reinstalled and caulked. Have not had a problem since. 9 hours to the dealer, ouch!

I just checked on the 2010 FC parts list to see if the 19' shower door is still the roll-away we have on our 2002 19' Safari Bambi. As far as I can determine, it is, so our experience may be relevant

It took several years before our shower door leaked and it was not apparent where the leak came from. We ended up recaulking under the lower rail of the door and that held for a year or so, then the leak reappeared. After much investigation with a flashlight and various probes, we determined that the caulk, even when it looks perfectly okay, cracks away from the shower enclosure and the lower rail of the door. Removal of the "loose" caulk and careful, thorough caulking of the gap between the lower rail of the door and the shower enclosure has, once again, stopped the leak.

The leaks probably develop due to the flexing of the trailer while driving. After a year or so, the caulk is no longer so flexible and it cracks away from the shower enclosure. The cracks are almost impossible to see. We now carry a tube of caulk with us!
