Buy a trailer and show up at a rally!
My intention was to get an Airstream because I love them, but got a bonus with my trailer, a man.
I suggest you stop with this life plan, get a trailer and start enjoying life.
i also suggest you switch to red wine.

You need to read some Canadian news.
Officials probe Winnipeg man's death after 34-hour ER wait

CBC = Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the Canadian government owned network. This is not some conspiracy nut website.

Please do not come to Canada for "free" health care. Almost half our Provincial taxes go to health care and we can't afford to take care of our own people.
I didn't mean to jack the thread. I just want the facts known. Will stop now.

By golly, you're right! After hearing all these years that "Men are from Mars, women are from Venus", here comes one from Jupiter!
DV8,
Seriously (as serious as it ever gets around here--which is not very), welcome to the forums! There are a lot of decent folks here and you might very well meet a "keeper". Your "chardonnay induced desperation" may prove to be a very good move in the long run.
Best regards,

I have a friend in Canada who's looking for someone to go out to the garage and warm up his truck before he has to leave for work.
At 5:00 am.

As a few others have suggested, perhaps a singles column is in order here... for Airstream enthusiasts only though.
I have the house, the family, and the man. The sad part is that my man hates traveling so much that the thought of doing it in a "trailer" makes him cringe. Whenever I talk about having found an Airstream I might be interested in looking at further, he starts up with the "trailer trash" comments. It's not very nice.
My kids would love to hit the road with me. And I'd love to ditch this big house that never stays the right temperature. Home is a comfortable bed and love right?
I hope you find what you're looking for and I hope you see it when you do.

I'm shopping for a new hot tub and gazeebo, have restored several Land Cruiser FJ-40s and a Datsun 260z, I 'get' Michael Moore... Stern, not so much... and I love fine wine, jazz, and classic movies.
The only hitch, as I see it, is that I doubt my wife would let me keep you.
Best of luck!

And Now, A Message From Our Sponsor
I think we need to hear more from Peace Girl, whose husband seems out to lunch: "the thought of doing it in a "trailer" makes him cringe." Oh, yeah, and this is a family oriented forum! Did I miss something here? Probably.
But seriously, that "trailer trash" image is one we cultivate with a lot of hard work. Why else do we lug around all those flamingos and palm trees and stuff? We wear that title like a badge of honor ... 'cause for many of us, it is one!

Years ago I read a book on investing in which the author said, the point of investing when you are young is so you don't wind up in a trailer in Florida when you retire.
This made me feel sad because my dream was to retire to a trailer in Florida.

My wife and I (and two dogs) just spent the last month and a half in our trailer in Florida. Interestingly, in the park we were in, 80% of the seasonal residents were French-speaking Canadians from Quebec, so we weren't able to socialize too much with the neighbors.
Having invested since we were young to have freedom in retirement, and now watching our life savings evaporate before our eyes, I have come to the realization that there are a lot worse options than living in a trailer in Florida.

I suggest for all of you who are searching for Airstream love that you listen to "I Married Up" by the Trailer Park Troubadours, from the album "Trailercana". And should your dreams come true it would be a great wedding song.

Levon Helm said it best in his song...."Got me a Woman." This does not sound like you....as nice as you seem.
