Alan:

I am a TAC member from Georgia. I am happy with this club. It feels like a free spirit club. I just like to go with what ever is happening. No rules, regimentaion, what will be will be. There is something to say about that.

I had the opportunity to meet TAC folks up in N.Y. They were from all over. When I go camping I feel like I am having a TAC event. You only need one trailer to have a good time. Some nice folks belong to this organization.

My wife and I laugh when we think about the happy hour at the Birthday bash. We brought food to happy hour and we were heading back to the trailer and somebody said loudly it is happy hour. A boat load of little kids start running to the happy hour at full throttle yelling its happy hour, Happy hour. It was funny watching these little kids . True Yankees. I can say that because I grew up in the Chicago area. Great time in N.Y. It was nice being back up north.

And, all of that information is in the public domain already; Rob has posted it on the TAC web site which means that the members have no expectation of privacy related to their membership. Rob will have no choice but to comply, unless he wants to hire legal council and try to fight it in front of a judge. Given that he is TAC and that the cost would come out of his personal finances because TAC is not incorporated I doubt he would try to fight a subpoena, and I doubt he would win if he did.

Once you are served with papers, you have a choice. Ignore it and have a judgment go against you automatically because you chose not to defend yourself in a court of law, or hire an attorney and go to court to fight the law suit.

And, while I am not an attorney, nor do I play on on television, I have, unfortunately, been on the receiving end of a law suit. It was expensive, time consuming, stressful and emotionally draining; not something I ever want to experience again. For what it is worth, the person who filed the suit had signed a form agreeing to not hold the group that was putting on the event responsible for any injuries, etc., etc. But, they filed a law suit anyway. Nothing prevents a person from filling a law suit. Had we not defended ourselves we would have been liable for the damages he was claiming.

I am an attorney. Having been an attorney for about 30 years (the vast majority as a senior counsel for one of the largest corporations in the U.S.) I think you might want to take a deep breath and chill out a bit. It would probably be a good idea to incorporate TAC as a non-profit corporation to ensure limited liability to members but I'm personally not losing a lot of sleep over being a member (MI-9) even the way it is organized now (or disorganized).

I agree with the attorney above. I coached competetive swimming for many years. I know one swim team which is run as a business and the parents and athletes of that are organized in a non profit status so they could do fund raisers. The coach owns the team which is one of the largest in the country, but his athletes and parents are organized in a non profit organization. That is how the athletes get their insurance and how visiting teams are covered with insurance. It works.

If FL-1 is still available, I would love to change for it FL-23. I haven't got any money so let them sue.

WHOOO HOOOOO EEEEEE!!!!!
Did you notice two of the band members play like the Ramones? Angry and fast. No wonder they are my favorite band of all time. Two chord, no real talent, total success in my book.

Just Can't Resist....

WOW! Numbers can be reassigned? That's cool! Just like another club I'm familiar with. I don't want a number from Georgia... and I might move sometime so a GA number may become obsolete. Would TAC consider issuing Galaxy numbers? I'm not a TAC member and don't really plan to join but I might reconsider if I can have number GLXY-987654321.
