Glass?? We just pop the cork and start drinking! Use to use a straw till they were outlawed in CA! Actually, we have 2 AS stainless cups, 2 plastic wine cups, 4 Yetti cups, etc...all work fine for our needs...if your sitting around wondering about which glass you should be using with white or red wine while camping in your AS, your wasting valuable drinking and visiting time!

For fine wine, glass with stems, even when backpacking...needs a little careful packing and handling, but will worth it, IMHO.
Messed with a few minds when DW and I both had lovely goblets at the end of a long hike for our wine sharing around the campfire.
I really don't like what plastic or stainless steel does to good wine...really tastes funny to both of us...

We’ve been very pleased with our Life Factory stemless glasses with their protective silicon sleeves. The sleeves not only protect the glass, but also insulate and improve grip. After 14 months on the road, we have not had a single casualty. Check ‘em out at lifefactory.com

Those look pretty nice, but after reading reviews, there are several folks saying the glass breaks easily? I have these type wine glasses we got at Costco some time ago, without the protective colorfull sleeves, we use at home and they hold up pretty well. We like stemless wine glasses, after loosing several crystal steam wineglasses over the years...Sounds like the quality of the Lifefactory models may be thinner then we have with the Costco glasses? Anyone else have any longer term experience with these?

Hystericus
Is there anything else wrong with using unbreakable, stemless, BPA and gluten free, disposable, shatterproof wax paper cups besides the environmental damage of killing trees and robbing beehives to make them?
The Disney Princess Dream series are very elegant with "Princesses Rule" printed around the lip.

We've taken our stemless Riedel glasses over all kinds of bumpy roads, but packed in their original boxes. We've had no breakage in our 4 reds, 4 whites (another brand,) and 4 champagne flutes.
The answer to you last question, is yes-- but hey-- our idea is to head off to the wilder places and then glamp a bit. After several taste tests involving the same wine in different glassware with our wine club, the consensus has been that crystal does make the wine taste better. The worst are those disposable soft plastic glasses. You can taste the plastic in the wine. Non-disposable hard plastic and bar glass are better.
In a 19-foot Bambi, however, we are limited as to how much stuff we can take. The martini glasses stay home.
Due to the aforementioned bumpy roads, we often take along one of the better grades of boxed wine.

We are now using the Yeti wine glasses without the lids. We have found them not necessary as the wine does not remain long in the glass.

We have the Yetti wine tumblers also...very nice and also colorful. They are insulated..we don't detect any metal taste. We do love our wines both red and white

Boxed wine? OK, OK. We know all about "wine shaming," but we've done a lot of taste-tests, both as to glassware and boxed wine. We're still looking for the ultimate boxed white, as Jeanne prefers New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, but we've hit something we like in Bota Box old vine Zinfandel, and recently in a Portuguese boxed wine, Porta 6. I think there are better boxed wines to get to, but we are limited by a small town BC liquor outlet unless we're in the US.
We typically have bubbly our first night out, but can't justify French prices so we tend to go for German sekt (Henkell Trocken) or Spanish cava, both dry.
Letting a cheaper wine breathe makes a big difference, but with a 19' Bambi space for a carafe is a consideration.
Cheers, y'all.

In my experience, most wines taste similar from any type of cup if you start off with a cheap cigar.
Notice 'similar', not 'stellar'
