That's what we've been doing on this rainy day.

Rod and I have flown with the San Diego club at Mission Bay several times. We also know some of the members there.

Here's some shots of the NM Unit rally at White Sands last March. There were about 10 rigs and we had a great time.
Looking forward to linking up when we get back and cooking up some good chow!

I have recently taught myself to tat (lacemaking with a shuttle). It's the perfect 'streaming hobby. Takes up very little room and is inexpensive. All you need is a ball of thread and a shuttle or two. I'm also an avid reader but tatting is a nice alternative.
We also keep a running game of gin that's a lot of fun and keeps our competitive spirits sharp!

Not really a hobby as much as a passion... Astronomy, either with binoculars or a telescope. We always keep a bunch of binos in the trailer (everything from 7x35 up to 20x80). I find that short tube 80mm refractors on simple alt/az mounts are great for camping. When we go the the TAC Bash later this month, I plan to bring a 4" f/11 refractor on a German equatorial mount as well as the 80mm f/6.

I know what you mean about the 2-wheel hobby; here's a couple of mine - almost an obsession at times (much like being an AirStreamer!) :

As well as knitting and reading, I enjoy history and genealogy. As long as I can get on the internet, I can continue to be a detective for my family history as it connected to world history. Love it especially when I can go see many of the locations myself!

I have been known to drag my 10" Dob along to rallies in the past, and have even taken the trailer to a star party a few years ago (talk about deluxe accommodations).

I have a strong interest in model and toy trains, too. I keep threatening to build a small N gauge layout where the rear vanity is in our '64 Bambi II as Lynn thinks it is silly to have two sinks so close together. It would be a perfect little place for a small layout!

I often pull my Base Camp to the dark sky site. I don't NEED to bring it, but it's nice to be able to crash out for a while when waiting out the clouds!

Ya know... a small switching layout just might work...
